Cranfield School of Management has been named as offering one of the top 10 one-year business programmes in the world by Forbes.

The American business bible released its list of top 10 international one-year MBA programmes alongside a list of domestic US seats of learning it holds in the highest regard.

Cranfield, which is based in Bedford, came 10th its list behind distinguished competition in the form of Cambridge’s Judge Business School, and Oxford’s Said Business School. These three schools were the only UK entries in a list of 10 topped by Lausanne, Switzerland.

Welcoming the news of Cranfield being named by Forbes as among the world’s best places to study business, the school’s MBA Director, Dr Andrew Angus said:

“We are delighted that our MBA programme has been ranked in the top 10 by Forbes. At Cranfield, we pride ourselves on our global impact and creating the next generation of leaders in management. This recognition is a tribute to our exceptional faculty, as well as the drive and determination of our students.”

Cranfield’s Pro Vice-Chancellor and Director, Professor Lynette Ryals added:

“Cranfield has always been a pioneer in management education. We were one of the first business schools in the UK to offer MBA programmes, and we are again leading the field with our innovative Executive MBA master’s level apprenticeship which we are delivering in partnership with Grant Thornton.”

Cranfield – which is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary – is also a long-standing partner of Awards International, and the school provided the scoring methodology and criteria for entrants to the recent  2017 UK Customer Experience Awards at Wembley Stadium. The school also oversees the stringent scoring of Awards International’s other events, including the upcoming UK Business Awards.

Awards International CEO Neil Skehel – himself a Cranfield MBA alumnus – said:

“I am sure it makes all alumni proud to see these kinds of results being achieved by the school. Alumni have a stake in the school’s reputation as it maintains the equity of their qualification. It’s great to see results like these which show the business community what a great place Cranfield is”
