Endorsement advocates importance of Awards

The Business Excellence Department within the Department of Economic Development (DED), Dubai, have signed a partnership agreement with the International Business Excellence Awards 2015 (IBX Awards), owned by awards specialists, Awards International. The partnership outlines DED’s endorsement of the Awards, participation in the judging panel and outreach to their stakeholders to participate.

The agreement was signed by Ali Ibrahim, DED Deputy Director General for Planning & Development Affairs, and Mark Hamill, Managing Director, Awards International, UAE.

“Our partnership with the Awards reflect the achievements we have had so far in promoting a culture of excellence and we are delighted to share our experience with wider regional and international initiatives,” Ali Ibrahim said.

“We will spread awareness of the International Business Awards 2015 through our internal and external communication channels and social media. With the resources and networks we have developed in the domain of excellence we would be able to add substantial value to the jury of the International Business Awards and the efforts to increase participation in the Awards” Ali added.

“We are extremely honoured by DED endorsing the IBX Awards for its purpose in recognising international business excellence,” said Mark. “Both organisations value the importance of awarding great initiatives and with this partnership, we’ll be able to attract even more high valued businesses to the UAE to participate in the Finals in May 2015.”

“Partnerships with these esteemed businesses allow us to enhance the Awards experience through a diverse platform of expertise and industry knowledge. We are extremely thankful to the support shown by the local and international businesses and would like to encourage more businesses and individuals to get involved should they be interested,” concluded Mark.

The Business Excellence Department at DED will also host their own event at the Awards, which will involve a round table discussion about a chosen category.

The IBX Awards also recently partnered with several other business entities including the Dubai Business Women Council, Sharjah Tatweer Forum, Abu Dhabi University, Cranfield School of Management (UK), Awards Intelligence (UK) and Boost Marketing (UK).

The IBX Awards opened for entries in September this year. There are 33 categories available to enter, focusing on a range of organisational initiatives or projects from companies large and small. Entries close on 13th January 2015 while the two-day Finals will take place in Dubai from 20th – 21st May 2015 during which the shortlisted participants will be judged and the winners selected.

The IBX Awards are currently welcoming entrants along with interested sponsors, partners and judges who wish to be involved with the prominent Awards. For more information about the IBX Awards or to participate, visit www.ibxawards.com or contact Mark Hamill on mark@awardsinternational.ae.
