A partnership between Rated People and Perkbox has won a major title at the 2018 UK Customer Experience Awards.

Rated People, the online marketplace connecting homeowners with tradespeople, gave a joint presentation at the Wembley Stadium event with employee engagement firm Perkbox, and told judges of their Member Benefits Premium programme.

The initiative offers members perks everything from free mobile insurance and discounts for family days out, to free ice cream.

A spokesperson explained: “It is an engaging email communication programme that highlights key benefits to ensure tradespeople get the most out of the offering. This has enabled Rated People to move from a transactional relationship to an emotional, engagement-led connection, helping tradespeople live better lives. In total, over 27,000 customers have benefitted from the programme and they are now staying with Rated People for longer.”

Judges awarded the initiative Gold in the Best Engaging the Customer Online category, while Silver was awarded to Refinitiv (formerly Thomson Reuters) in partnership with Clarasys, and Bronze to Affinity Water.
