AI automation vendor ServiceNow has launched over 150 new generative AI features on the Now Platform, focusing on enhancing AI capabilities while ensuring responsible and secure use.

The latest updates include expanded Now Assist capabilities and new AI Governance tools, all aimed at helping companies adopt AI more confidently and effectively. These innovations provide more control and visibility for businesses using AI.

A key highlight is the AI Governance offering, which integrates strong security and compliance features into the platform, helping organisations use AI safely.

Among the new tools, the Now Assist Guardian offers built-in monitoring to help businesses control GenAI usage, reducing risks related to offensive content or security issues. The Now Assist Data Kit makes managing data for AI projects easier, enabling users to create and manage datasets more effectively. Additionally, the Now Assist Analytics tool offers insights into how AI solutions are being used, helping organisations make better, data-driven decisions.

The company is also expanding the global reach of its GenAI solutions with built-in multilingual support for languages like French, German, Spanish, and Japanese. This update allows users to generate and respond to GenAI prompts in their native language, improving communication for both support agents and customers.

The new updates are also tailored for specific business needs. For example, Now Assist for Configuration Management helps companies manage data more efficiently by reducing duplicates and simplifying data entry. In legal services, the platform speeds up handling legal requests by auto-generating summaries. The solution also helps streamline contract management by flagging unusual terms and suggesting revisions to reduce risks.

The new features are already available to a limited number of ServiceNow customers, except for the AI Governance tools, which will be fully launched in early 2025.
