Hey there, remember S Club Juniors? Let's catch up!
So, I was scrolling through Spotify the other day, and you won't believe who popped up in my '90s nostalgia playlist - S Club Juniors! I mean, who could forget those little popstars who burst onto the scene with their catchy tunes and even catchier dance moves? Let's take a little trip down memory lane, shall we?
Back in the day...
It was the early 2000s, and the Spice Girls had just hung up their platforms. The world was craving more girl power, and along came S Club Juniors. They were like the Spice Girls' little sisters, ready to take the pop world by storm. With their matching outfits, synchronized dancing, and chart-topping hits like 'One Step Closer' and 'Seeing Double', they were the ultimate pop sensation for kids of the early 2000s.
Remember their TV show, 'S Club 7 in Miami'? It was like a real-life version of 'Saved by the Bell', but with more singing, dancing, and a whole lot of 'S Club' merchandise. They were living the dream, and we were all just a little bit jealous.
Fast forward to now...
So, what have they been up to since their popstar days? Well, some of them have stuck with the music industry. Frankie Bridge, formerly known as Frankie Sandford, is now a member of The Saturdays and a regular on UK TV shows. She's even married to Wayne Bridge, the footballer. Fancy that!
Then there's Rochelle Humes, who's now a TV presenter and a member of the girl group The Saturdays with Frankie. She's also married to Marvin Humes from JLS, so they're basically pop royalty. And let's not forget Hannah Spearritt, who's been acting in various TV shows and even had a stint in 'Primeval'.
Some of the boys have also stayed in the spotlight. Jay Pharaoh, formerly known as Jay Asher, is now a comedian and actor in the US. He's even appeared on 'Saturday Night Live'. And what about Aaron Renfree? He's now a choreographer and has worked with some massive names in the music industry. Not bad, huh?
S Club Juniors then and now: What happened to the child pop group?
Reunions and comebacks...
You might be wondering if there's any chance of an S Club Juniors reunion. Well, they've had a few mini-reunions over the years, but nothing too major. They've performed together at various events and even released a new single in 2018 called 'Love Train'. It was a bit of a throwback to their old sound, and it had us all singing along like it was 2002 all over again.
But let's be real, we'd all love a full-blown reunion, right? A tour, some new music, the works. We can dream, can't we?
Why we still love them...
So, why do we still love S Club Juniors all these years later? Well, for me, it's all about the nostalgia. Their music reminds me of a simpler time, when my biggest worry was whether I'd get to see them on 'SMTV Live'. Plus, their songs are just so darn catchy. I mean, try not to sing along to 'Don't Stop Movin'' - I dare you!
S Club Juniors: Where are they now?
But it's not just about the music. S Club Juniors were a big part of our childhoods. They taught us about friendship, teamwork, and the importance of a good dance routine. And let's face it, we could all use a little more of that in our lives.
Here's to the future...
So, there you have it - a little catch-up with S Club Juniors. It's been fun reminiscing, hasn't it? Here's to hoping they'll grace us with their presence again soon. Until then, we'll just have to keep dancing to their tunes and dreaming of a world where matching outfits and synchronized dance moves reign supreme.
Stay fabulous, everyone!
