How Do I Get Tickets For Strictly Come Dancing

So, you've got the sequins at the ready, the glitter in your hair, and you're dying to know, "How do I get tickets for Strictly Come Dancing?" Well, grab a cuppa, let's spill the tea.

When's the best time to start?

Alright, first things first. Tickets for the live shows are like gold dust, so you've gotta be prepared to pounce like a sequined panther. The BBC usually announces when tickets will go on sale a few months before the show starts. Keep an eye on their ticketing website and set yourself a reminder. You don't want to miss the boat, do you?

How do I get the all-important alert?

Sign up for the BBC's ticket alert service. It's like having a fairy godmother who whispers in your ear, "Tickets are about to drop!" in your inbox. You can choose which shows you're interested in, so you won't be bombarded with alerts for Every Bloomin' Show. Just the ones that'll make your heart flutter.

What's the big day like?

When the big day arrives, it's like waiting for Santa on Christmas Eve. You'll need to be ready to click, click, click at exactly 9 am. Why so early? Because the ticketing website is going to be busier than a dancefloor at Blackpool Tower Ballroom. It's a mad rush, but don't worry, it's not a race to the death (unlike the dance-off!).

What if I miss out? Is there a Plan B?

Don't despair if you miss out in the initial rush. The BBC usually releases a second batch of tickets a few weeks later. They might not be the best seats in the house, but you'll still be able to say, "I was there when insert fabulous couple did the Samba!"

Strictly Come Dancing Tour 2023 Leeds: how to get tickets

And hey, if you still can't get tickets, there's always the good old fashioned ballot. The BBC holds a random draw for tickets, and you could be in with a chance of winning a pair. It's like waiting for the postman to deliver your lottery win, but with less winning (usually).

What about the tour?

If you've missed out on the live shows, don't hang up your dancing shoes just yet! The Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour is your chance to see the fabulous couples perform in an arena near you. Tickets usually go on sale around September time, so keep your eyes peeled.

And guess what? You might even get a chance to meet the stars! The tour often includes a meet and greet opportunity. So, you could be posing for a selfie with your favorite couple before you know it. Now, that's what you call a perfect ten!
