What Supermarkets Are Open On Easter Sunday

So, there I was, Easter Sunday, basking in the glow of a freshly baked hot cross bun, when it hit me. I was out of milk. Now, I'm not one to let a little thing like a milk shortage dampen my Easter cheer, but a cuppa without milk? That's a tragedy on par with the Easter Bunny losing his way to the North Pole. I mean, come on, Easter, the one day of the year when you'd think supermarkets would be open 24/7, right?

But alas, dear reader, I found myself in a bit of a pickle. You see, not all supermarkets are open on Easter Sunday. I know, I know, it's a shocker. So, I decided to do a little digging, because who wants to be caught off guard again, right? Let's dive in.

Why the Fuss About Easter Sunday?

First things first, why the big deal about Easter Sunday? Well, it's a public holiday in many countries, which means most shops, including supermarkets, are closed. It's a time for family, faith, and feasting, not fighting over the last pack of eggs in the supermarket aisle. But what if you're like me and you've got a sudden craving for a milky brew?

Supermarkets That Keep Their Doors Open

Fear not, my fellow milk-lovers! There are a few supermarkets that keep their doors open on Easter Sunday. But remember, opening hours might be reduced, so it's always a good idea to check before you head out.

Tesco

Tesco, the UK's largest supermarket, keeps some of its stores open on Easter Sunday. However, opening hours are reduced, so don't expect a late-night shop. They usually open from around 10 am to 4 pm. But remember, not all stores are open, so check their website before you go.

Asda

Asda also keeps some of its stores open on Easter Sunday, usually from around 10 am to 4 pm. But again, not all stores are open, so check their website for your local store's opening hours.

Morrisons

What If Your Local Supermarket Isn't Open?

If your local supermarket isn't open, don't despair. There are still options. Convenience stores like Co-op, Spar, and your local corner shop might be open, but opening hours could be reduced. And remember, there's always the option of a black coffee. I mean, it's not ideal, but it's better than nothing, right?

So, there you have it, folks. A little Easter Sunday supermarket guide to keep you in milk and eggs. Happy Easter, and remember, always check before you go. Unless, of course, you're like me and you enjoy a good Easter milk crisis. But let's be honest, who does?
