Which Harry Potter Actors Have Died

Harry Potter Actors: A Magical Roll Call

Ever wondered what happened to the talented bunch who brought the magical world of Hogwarts to life? Let's take a stroll down memory lane and see who's still with us, and who's joined the ranks of the really dead - no, not the Deathly Hallows, we mean the great beyond!

Still Casting Spells Among Us

First off, let's give a round of applause to the main trio who are still very much alive and kicking. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint are all doing their own thing, proving that you don't need magic to make it in the muggle world. Emma's been busy advocating for women's rights, Daniel's been impressing us with his stage performances, and Rupert's been keeping it real with his comedy chops. They might not be together on screen anymore, but their bond is stronger than a Felix Felicis potion!

Other notable survivors include Helena Bonham Carter, who's still as eccentric as ever, and Robbie Coltrane, who's been keeping busy with various TV shows. Even Hagrid, aka Robbie Coltrane, is still with us, proving that half-giants do indeed have a long lifespan!

Farewell to the Enchanted Few

Sadly, not everyone from the Harry Potter cast is still with us. Richard Harris, the original Dumbledore, passed away in 2002, just before the release of the second film. His legacy lives on, though, and we'll always remember his wise and warm portrayal of the beloved headmaster.

John Hurt, who played wand-maker Ollivander, also left us in 2017. His distinctive voice and presence made him the perfect choice for the role, and his loss was deeply felt by fans. And let's not forget Richard Griffiths, who played Harry's uncle Vernon Dursley. He passed away in 2013, but his hilarious portrayal of the bumbling muggle will live on forever.
