Who Went From Strictly Come Dancing

So, there I was, last Saturday night, trying to impress my other half with my newly acquired "fancy footwork" - yes, I'd been practicing the cha-cha in the kitchen while cooking. I mean, who hasn't tried to channel their inner Strictly Come Dancing star while waiting for the pasta to boil?

Now, if you're anything like me, you've spent countless Saturday nights glued to the telly, watching celebrities trip the light fantastic with their professional partners. And let's be real, we've all had our favourites, haven't we? I mean, who could forget Ed Balls and his... well, Ed Balls?

But have you ever wondered what happens to these stars after their Strictly journey ends? Do they hang up their sequins and never dance again? Or do they, like me, try to incorporate the cha-cha into their everyday life? Well, grab a cuppa, get comfy, and let's take a little stroll down memory lane to see what some of our favourite Strictly stars have been up to.

From Ballroom to Broadway

Let's start with the lovely Caroline Flack. Now, Caroline was a bit of a Strictly darling, wasn't she? She won the show back in 2014 with her partner Jake Wood. After Strictly, Caroline didn't let the sequins gather dust. Oh no, she went on to host the winter sports show Ski Sunday, and even had a stint presenting I'm a Celebrity... - you know, the one where they eat kangaroo testicles. Brave woman.

And speaking of brave, how about Mark Ramprakash? Now, Mark was a bit of a dark horse, wasn't he? He went from cricket pitch to dance floor and, let me tell you, he could move. After Strictly, Mark didn't just hang up his dancing shoes - he became a Strictly judge! That's right, he swapped his sports kit for a sharp suit and started dishing out the scores. Not bad for a bloke who once said he had "two left feet".

From Dance Floor to Dinner Table

Now, let's talk food. Because, let's face it, after all that dancing, you've got to eat, right? Well, Gavin Henson certainly knows a thing or two about that. Gavin, who partnered up with Kara Tointon to win Strictly in 2009, went on to open his own restaurant. Yes, you heard it here first - the man can dance, and he can cook too. Who knew?

And while we're on the subject of food, how about Rachel Stevens? Rachel, who won Strictly with Alex Jones in 2008, has been busy in the kitchen too. She's written a cookbook, you know. I mean, who wouldn't want to cook like a pop star turned dancing queen?

From Sequins to Screens

But it's not all about food and fancy footwork. Some of our favourite Strictly stars have gone on to grace our screens in a whole different way. Take Harry Judd, for example. Harry, who won Strictly with Aliona Vilani in 2011, has been busy acting. Yes, you heard it right - the McFly drummer has swapped his drumsticks for a script. He's even played the Prince of Wales in a pantomime. Now that's what I call a career change!

And let's not forget Kirsty Gallacher. Kirsty, who partnered up with Brendan Cole in 2015, has been busy presenting. She's been on our screens hosting shows like Ski Sunday and Rugby Special. And, let me tell you, she's a natural. I mean, who wouldn't want to watch Kirsty presenting while they're enjoying their Sunday roast?

So there you have it, folks. Our favourite Strictly stars have been busy bees since their dancing days. And who knows? Maybe one day, you'll see me on the telly too. I mean, if Ed Balls can do it, anyone can, right?

Until next time, keep dancing - and keep cooking. Just remember to turn the hob off before you start practicing your cha-cha. Trust me, I've learned the hard way.
