Alright, let's dive in. October 12, 2026, is a Wednesday. Yes, you heard it right, a Wednesday. Now, before you start planning your mid-week party, let's see if there's anything special about this day.

First things first, is it a public holiday? Well, not in the United States. You won't get a day off from work or school. Sorry to disappoint, but no Columbus Day celebrations here. In fact, many states have replaced Columbus Day with Indigenous Peoples' Day, so even that's not a guarantee.

But Wait, There's More

Now, let's look beyond the U.S. Maybe somewhere in the world, they're having a fiesta we can join, right?

In Spain, it's the Día de la Hispanidad, also known as Spanish National Day. They celebrate it with parades, music, and dance. Sounds like fun, huh? But remember, it's their night out, so don't crash their party without an invite.

In Mexico, it's the Día de la Raza, a celebration of their indigenous heritage and the discovery of America. Again, a great event, but it's their cultural moment, so let's appreciate it from afar.
