How Much Does The Eastenders Cast Get Paid

Ever wondered how much the stars of Albert Square rake in? Let's dish the dirt on EastEnders' cast salaries, without the soap's signature drama.

Top of the Soap

First things first, who's bringing home the biggest paycheck? Rumour has it, Danny Dyer, our beloved Queen Vic landlord, is the highest-paid cast member. But shh, it's all hush-hush.

Danny's rumoured to be earning around £400k a year. That's more than a pint or two at the Vic! But remember, these figures are like Phil Mitchell's secrets - hard to confirm.

Soap Stars' Salaries

Now, let's talk about the rest of the gang. Salaries vary, but most cast members earn between £100k to £300k a year. Not bad for a day's work in Walford, eh?

Take Jake Wood, who played the iconic Max Branning. He was reportedly earning around £250k before his exit. That's more than the average British salary, and we're not even talking about his lucrative endorsement deals!

New Kids on the Square

But what about the newbies? Well, their salaries start lower, of course. Think around £50k to £100k a year. It's still a tidy sum, but it's a far cry from Danny's rumoured earnings.

Take Rose Ayling-Ellis, who joined the cast in 2020. Despite her incredible talent and popularity, her salary is believed to be around £100k. But hey, that's still more than the average Joe!

Why the Hush-Hush?

You might be wondering why everyone's so tight-lipped about their salaries. Well, it's all about the BBC's policy. They don't officially disclose actor salaries, so it's all hearsay and speculation.

Plus, let's face it, no one wants to be the one stirring up trouble in Albert Square - even off-screen!

More Than Just Money

But it's not all about the cash, right? These actors work hard, and many have been with the show for years. They've become part of our TV families, and we love them for it.

Take Linda Carter, played by the brilliant Kellie Bright. She's been with the show since 2013 and has become a fan favourite. Sure, she's probably earning a healthy salary, but she's also given us some of the show's most memorable moments.

So, Who's Really Top of the Soap?

At the end of the day, it's not just about the money. It's about the characters we love, the storylines that keep us hooked, and the actors who bring it all to life.

So, here's to the EastEnders cast - whatever they're earning, they deserve every penny for keeping us glued to our screens, week after week.
