Medallia has named Mark Bishof its new Chairman and CEO. With over 40 years of experience leading private and public software companies, Bishof brings industry expertise, including roles as Chief Business Officer at Qualtrics and CEO of Clarabridge. He steps into the role previously held by Mike Lipps, a Thoma Bravo Operating Partner who will continue serving on Medallia’s board.

“I am honored and excited to lead Medallia, a true pioneer with a vast history and depth of personalized enterprise experience data. Medallia has always been a customer-centric and forward-thinking company dedicated to helping enterprises fulfill their brand promises and deliver exceptional experiences. As our industry landscape continues to evolve, and with the backing of a world-class investor like Thoma Bravo, we have significant opportunities to drive long-term growth and extend our leadership in the space,” said Bishof.

Bishof’s tenure at Qualtrics and Clarabridge is marked by many achievements, including transforming Clarabridge from a text analytics firm into a leader in conversational AI. His career includes leadership roles at Flexera Software, Macrovision, IBM, Crossworlds Software, and Deloitte Consulting.

“For over 20 years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Mark and seeing his outstanding leadership in action. In a sector poised for transformation, we see incredible opportunity for Medallia, and are excited for this next phase of growth underpinned by Mark’s leadership and the world-class team he has assembled,” said Orlando Bravo, Founder and a Managing Partner at Thoma Bravo.

In addition to Bishof’s appointment, Medallia has announced several other key leadership changes, with Sid Banerjee, founder of Clarabridge, being named Chief Strategy Officer. Banerjee will focus on advancing Medallia’s AI innovation and working with clients on transformative initiatives.
