Sinch has announced that RCS Business Messaging (RBM) is now available for iOS users on Three UK and Virgin Media O2 (VMO2) networks. This development marks a major step in transforming how businesses engage with their customers, extending reach to Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) like Tesco Mobile and Giffgaff.

RCS Business Messaging elevates customer interactions beyond traditional SMS by providing interactive communication tools. With features like videos, carousels, and branded content, RCS allows businesses to create personalised and engaging experiences that drive loyalty and satisfaction. Whether it’s customer support or conversational commerce, RCS ensures seamless, two-way interactions that feel natural and impactful.

Previously exclusive to Android devices, RBM’s availability on iOS opens new doors for businesses to engage customers across both major platforms within the same native messaging inbox they already use for SMS. There’s no need for third-party apps, as messages are delivered securely with advanced features such as verified sender identities, branded communications, and built-in security safeguards.

“Partnering with Three UK and Virgin Media O2 is a big step forward in delivering richer, more engaging interactions between businesses and their customers. Together, we are making it easier than ever for brands to connect with people in ways that feel personal, secure, and impactful,” said Nicklas Molin, executive vice president of EMEA at Sinch.

This expansion of RCS to iOS ensures businesses can now reach Android and iPhone users with rich, conversational messaging. It’s a game-changing advancement that redefines digital communication, bringing a more dynamic, interactive, and secure approach to connecting with customers across all major devices.
