Restaurant guest engagement solutions vendor Paytronix has launched Paytronix Catering, a new addition to its Online Ordering platform that streamlines catering order management for both large and small restaurant brands.
The Paytronix Catering service integrates nearly 20 distinct features to optimise the catering process. By providing tools for accurate order planning, the platform allows restaurants to efficiently manage increased order volumes without disrupting kitchen operations. Key features include the Feed-o-meter, which visually indicates how close an order is to meeting the desired number of servings, and a Catering Item Feed count, which helps guests estimate how many people each item will serve.
One of the standout capabilities of Paytronix Catering is its focus on transitioning third-party customers into first-party ones. With both first- and third-party ordering systems, the platform enhances revenue streams associated with catering orders.
To further ease the operational load, the service offers tools for order acceptance processes, partial payments, and calendar views of all orders. Additionally, the White Glove Service, developed in partnership with EZCater and DoorDash, ensures smooth delivery and fulfillment of large catering orders.
Ray Gibson, online ordering product manager, Paytronix, said: “Catering orders are placed ahead of time and are larger than typical online orders. Due to this, they add a layer of complexity into the preparation process for restaurants. Paytronix Catering provides for the unique administrative and operational processes and complexities, including the need to hold an order above the POS until it is time to prep the order, and the need to take deposits for orders and for keeping on-prem orders and online ordering process seamless and accurate.”
Order approvals can flag new catering requests until they are reviewed by the appropriate management. This measure helps confirm that restaurants can adequately prepare for incoming orders, minimising errors and preventing staffing shortages.
In other news, Paytronix was recently acquired by the business management software provider Access Group.
