Infobip has signed a five-year strategic agreement with Bayobab, a leading African digital connectivity provider, to enhance messaging solutions and optimize SMS delivery across the continent. Through this collaboration, Bayobab will leverage Infobip’s Communication Platform as a Service (CPaaS) for campaign management, API integration, and analytics, ensuring seamless and efficient SMS routing.

Additionally, Bayobab will deploy Infobip’s advanced security solutions, including a top-tier firewall, to safeguard mobile subscribers and enhance network security.

“We wanted to simplify how brands manage messaging in Africa with a single access point, high-quality service, and necessary controls. Our partnership with Infobip equips us to do this on a large scale and is crucial for tapping into Africa’s growth potential, where consumers demand messaging solutions, chat apps, and internet access.” said Kedar Gupte, Chief Mobility Business Officer at Bayobab.

“Our partnership optimizes Bayobab’s SMS connectivity and routing across Africa, supporting its expansion plans. We invested heavily in our CPaaS enablement capabilities, which now serve MNOs worldwide with top-tier security and efficiency, ” said Matija Ražem, Chief Commercial Telecom Officer at Infobip.

This partnership streamlines SMS connectivity by eliminating the need for brands to integrate separately with each Mobile Network Operator (MNO) within the MTN Group. Instead, Infobip’s CPaaS platform provides a centralized solution, allowing brands and aggregators to connect once and terminate traffic securely across multiple networks. This approach enhances control, security, and efficiency, benefiting mobile operators and end users.

Optimising messaging and connectivity

Infobip’s CPaaS enablement modules provide a comprehensive suite of features to optimize messaging and connectivity. These include advanced CPaaS capabilities such as campaign management, identity verification, bulk messaging, and usage analytics. Its optimised routing management allows traffic segmentation by source, destination, quality, and volume, while revenue protection tools help detect grey routes and enhance security.

Unified reporting and analytics also provide management dashboards, partner access, and trend analysis. In addition, seamless onboarding ensures online visibility and streamlined integration for brands, partners, and suppliers, simplifying connectivity and enhancing efficiency.

As part of Infobip’s broader CPaaS enablement strategy, these solutions integrate with core telecom networks, RCS MaaP frameworks, and Camara-compliant network APIs.
