Miral Destinations’ Martin Andonovski took home the CX Leader of the Year gong at the International Customer Experience Awards last night.

Andonovski is the senior director of guest experience and transformation with Miral Destinations where he leads several strategic initiatives designed to revamp customer experience at Yas Island, a resort destination on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi, in the UAE.

We’ve got a three-year roadmap and we’re one year deep into it now, so we’ve got bigger and better plans for next year,” said Andonovski after picking up his award.

We’re keeping really dynamic, so the team’s growing. This is very much a team reward,” he added.

His role covers everything from governing and delivering the Miral Guest Experience roadmap, overseeing the destination’s visitor experience and community engagement to driving digital transformation, and personalised guest interactions.

Andonovski’s mentor at Miral Destinations is Fergus Bugg, himself a recipient of the ICXA, CX Leader of the Year award in 2021.

Miral Destinations had a blockbuster evening at the gala awards dinner, taking home a total of four gold and two silver awards, including winning the CX Team of the Year gong.
