The rise of AI-powered autonomy is reshaping how businesses operate, innovate, and engage with customers, according to Accenture Technology Vision 2025 research report. The 25th edition of Accenture’s annual report reveals that the era of AI-driven digitisation is unfolding at an unprecedented pace, with technology increasingly serving as a dynamic partner rather than a static tool.

A key insight is the critical role of trust in unlocking AI’s full potential. While AI is poised to revolutionise technology development, customer experience, and workforce dynamics, 77% of executives believe these benefits depend on AI systems being accurate, predictable, and ethically designed. Moreover, trust strategies must evolve alongside technology strategies to ensure long-term success.

Generative AI is at the heart of this transformation. By breaking natural language barriers, foundation models have democratised coding, elevating developers into system engineers and enabling faster, more customised solutions.

The report also reveals the emergence of personified AI experiences as a competitive differentiator. While 80% of executives worry about generative AI homogenising brand voices, 77% see an opportunity to embed unique cultural and value-driven elements into AI interactions, enhancing customer engagement.

AI’s impact is extending into the physical world as well through general-purpose robots which are capable of learning tasks quickly, and are set to revolutionise the logistics industry.
