Amazon has unveiled Amazon Haul, a mobile-only storefront which provides a range of budget-friendly items priced at $20 or less. Accessible through the Amazon Shopping app or on mobile browsers, the platform is Amazon’s answer to rising competition from Chinese marketplaces like Temu, catering to bargain-seeking U.S. shoppers.
Most products on Amazon Haul are under $10, with some priced as low as $1. Some of the features deals include a three-piece razor set for $2.99, a women’s elastic belt for $1.99, and holiday-themed table decor for under $3.
“Amazon has always worked to provide customers with the widest possible selection, low prices and a convenient shopping experience, and we offer more than 300 million products across more than 35 product categories. This wide selection is made possible by our selling partners around the world who offer hundreds of millions of items in our store,” stated the company in a blog post.
Amazon Haul includes features that aim to improve customer convenience, such as free delivery on orders over $25, a $3.99 delivery fee for smaller purchases, and discounts of 5% and 10% for orders exceeding $50 and $75, respectively. Most items over $3 come with free returns, supported by Amazon’s extensive network of drop-off points, including Amazon Lockers, Whole Foods, and UPS.
The launch of Amazon Haul follows reports from earlier this year suggesting Amazon’s growing interest in the budget shopping space. The move comes as platforms like Temu and Shein continue to capture U.S. market share by providing goods at extremely low prices.
Amazon Haul also builds on the company’s broader retail innovation strategy, which previously introduced initiatives like a high-end fashion and beauty shopping experience in 2020.
