A new 2,196 sq ft Dixons Travel store has opened today (Tuesday 8 August) in Terminal Three of Heathrow Airport offering travellers dedicated demonstration areas and the brand’s gadget services.
Touted as a digital concept store, the new store is located in the newly expanded lounge area at the terminal and features what Dixons claim are a number of new concepts and digitally-focused features for travel outlets.
Open seven days a week from 5.30am to 10pm, the store includes an expanded range of products, including premium watches and new health and beauty gadgets, alongside a dedicated space for product demonstrations.
Dixons has also equipped the store with over 50 metres of digital signage emblazoned with in-store offers and departure boards, while travellers can charge their mobile phone in the store’s new charging area and receive advice from Dixons’ Team Knowhow experts.
Following the store’s opening, Heidi Woodhouse, Dixons Travel Managing Director commented:
“We are really excited to be opening this new look store and providing a unique shopping experience designed especially with passengers in mind.”
Ben Crowley, Head of Retail Technology for Heathrow added:
“As part of a wider plan to revitalise the Terminal 3 experience we have worked with Dixons to create a world leading technology store which will surprise and delight our passengers.
“Every aspect has been meticulous designed, bringing together cutting-edge design and technology under one roof.”
