Nearly 50% of UK online shoppers have purchased abroad, according to the latest results from eDigital Research and IMRG.
Results of the eCustomerServiceIndex suggest that price and availability are driving shoppers outside the UK, with 60% of those who have shopped cross-boarder saying they choose to due to better prices. Another 60% said they couldn’t find what they wanted in the UK.
Clothing, footwear and jewellery are the most popular items to buy abroad, followed by music, books and electronics.
Results also reveal that consumers spend up to £50 per transaction with international retailers.
