According to Bullhorn’s recent report, over 60% of job seekers feel comfortable with artificial intelligence managing the entire recruitment process, from job matching to onboarding, even including interviews. This demonstrates a growing acceptance of AI technology in hiring, especially when it enhances speed and accuracy.

“AI presents an opportunity to win for candidates, staffing firms, and clients alike. Candidates look to AI to speed up the job search process, create more contact, and make sure their value as a prospective worker is properly represented. At the same time, staffing firms want to hire better talent faster for their clients, and their clients want the best people on their teams. AI fuels the hiring process of the future, unlocking the ability for all participants in the process to reap the benefits of a faster, more accurate, and improved experience,” said Jason Heilman, SVP of Product Automation & AI.

Staffing companies should focus on the needs of candidates to maintain a flexible and scalable workforce. The report highlights that 80% of candidates expect to be placed in a job within 20 days, and 65% want regular communication from recruiters at least once a week. However, there is still dissatisfaction with the recruitment process, with common complaints related to slow response times and mismatches in job fit. Around 56% of candidates said their recruiter didn’t fully understand their job preferences, while 44% were unhappy with the communication speed.

In addition, over half of job seekers (53%) say they chose their current staffing agency because of a positive prior experience, showing the importance of delivering value in both speed and job fit.

According to the report, 81% of candidates are open to AI-driven recruitment if it accelerates the process, while 79% are supportive as long as it doesn’t compromise personalization. AI is becoming the key to ensuring faster, more accurate hiring, benefitting candidates, recruiters, and employers alike.
