Insurance and retirement management company Prudential Financial has launched OneLeave, a new solution designed to simplify the often-confusing world of employee absences and disability claims, reducing disruptions for both workers and employers.

The platform brings together Prudential’s absence and disability management services under one umbrella, offering a single claim number, a dedicated point of contact, and real-time updates via phone, text, or online.

Employees no longer have to navigate a maze of different processes—whether they’re taking medical leave, parental leave, or dealing with short-term disability, it’s all handled in one place.

To make planning easier, OneLeave Explorer, powered by Penguin Benefits, a parental leave planning software, helps employees estimate leave and benefits across various programmes, from company-sponsored options to state and federal leave entitlements. By giving workers a clearer picture of their time off, Prudential hopes to reduce confusion and make transitions smoother.

Jess Gillespie, Prudential’s head of group insurance product & underwriting, said: “We took our market-leading absence and disability capabilities and made enhancements to our technology and customer experience, combined with our deep consultative expertise, to launch OneLeave. We’re excited Prudential Group Insurance will continue as an industry leader in creating healthy and proactive pathways back to work that benefit employees and employers.”

Workplace management powered by data

For employers, OneLeave delivers more than just convenience. It provides data-driven insights and expert guidance to help minimise extended absences and improve workforce management. Companies also get support in navigating the landscape of state-paid leave laws, ensuring compliance without the headache.

By blending technology with hands-on support from vocational rehab specialists, return-to-work experts, and medical professionals, Prudential is betting that OneLeave can make workplace absences less of a burden for everyone involved.

The company won multiple awards at last year’s US Customer Experience Awards, including gold in best CX strategy and silver in best business change and transformation categories.
