A seasoned entrepreneur, Andy Alderson is best known as the Founder and former CEO of Vanarama. He now proudly stands as the Founder and Managing Partner of Alderway Partnership Capital. With an illustrious career spanning nearly three decades, Andy’s journey epitomises resilience, innovation, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
Under Andy’s leadership, Vanarama emerged as an industry trailblazer, disrupting the status quo. From humble beginnings in a Portakabin, Andy and his dedicated team propelled Vanarama to the forefront of the industry, known for their focus on brand building, customer experience, talent acquisition and technological innovation.
Recognised for his entrepreneurial achievements, Andy was also named Tech Entrepreneur of the Year at the Go Tech Awards in 2022 and he was honoured as a Sunday Times Leader of the Year, highlighting his commitment to excellence and leadership. He holds knowledge and expertise in leading an innovative, tech-enabled business – we can all listen to his words of wisdom and experience.
Andy also led his Vanarama team in many of Awards International’s programmes, namely the UK Customer Experience Awards. Vanarama most recently participated in the 2021 edition, taking home 7 gold awards and 1 silver award out of all 8 categories they entered! These categories include Customers at the Heart of Everything, and Business Transformation.
Andy now brings invaluable expertise and insights to his role as Chairman.
