Provider of cloud-based communication and collaboration solutions RingCentral has introduced its AI Assistant, powered by RingCentral AI, which is now included in its unified communications solutions, RingEX, at no extra cost.

This tool generates real-time call notes, assists with writing and translating messages, and summarises meetings with actionable items, helping to reduce mundane tasks for employees and enabling them to focus on more strategic work.

Early access users from various sectors, including healthcare and financial services, reported enhanced operations, with 92% finding AI call notes valuable and 84% noting improved call engagement.

The AI Assistant offers features such as real-time note-taking and summaries for calls, personalised engagement, AI-driven writing and translation for SMS and team messages in multiple languages, recaps of missed messages in group chats, and video meeting highlights that include keyword-based clips and transcripts, as well as live transcriptions and closed captioning for calls and meetings.

“With RingCentral AI Assistant, we’re enabling teams of all sizes, from solo entrepreneurs to global corporations, to transcend traditional limitations and operate at the speed of thought. With the combination of our cutting-edge AI and secure, trusted infrastructure, we’re not just helping teams work faster and smarter — we’re redefining what’s possible in the modern workplace. This is more than an upgrade; it’s a leap into the future of business productivity,” said Kira Makagon, chief innovation officer & CMO at RingCentral.

AI Assistant is included at no additional cost in RingEX starting in the U.S., with additional skills and an international rollout planned for early 2025.
