Metro Bank is set to open a brand-new store on Clapham High Street later this year in London.
The company has been operating since 2010, and was the UK’s first ever high-street bank at the time of its opening to be launched in over 150 years.
Now, following the opening of its Clapham Junction store in October 2016, the bank has witnessed huge demands for its services and, in response, will open its second store in the area creating 25 new jobs for the local community.
Iain Kirkpatrick, managing director of Retail Banking at Metro Bank, said:
“We just can’t get enough of Clapham! As a fast-developing town, Clapham is a fantastic community to be part of and we’re delighted to have found another great location to serve it from.
“We look forward to welcoming, even more, Clapham residents and businesses to [this] banking revolution.”
Metro Bank is a retail bank which provides its customers with instant account opening and on-the-spot card printing. No appointment is necessary, therefore Clapham’s residents will be able to walk straight in for their banking needs.
The store is set to have over 1,200 safety deposit boxes for customers to keep their valuables stored, alongside free coin-counting facilities.
Metro Bank has secured the prime location at 65-67 Clapham High Street. All stores are open at convenient ‘retail’ times, from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm on Saturdays and 11am to 5pm on Sundays as well as bank holidays, 362 days a year.
